Beam reach for a week then tack like the old days before engines

Just seen this. I think you will find the UK flag is upside down.!!

Is a Cheeky Monkey world cruising cookbook in the works?

Nice trip...

1) You really musn't fly the (British) union flag from your spreader - it is actually illegal as it is the flag for a commissioned Royal Navy warship only. You should fly a red ensign.2) Especially better not to fly it upside-down (around 8'35")! ;-)

Union Jack Flag upside down!! Guys You have the British flag up the mast with the U.S. Stars and Stripes upside down. Flags are flown left to right. As such the Union Jack (or Union Flag if it's on land) should have the thicker part of the white cross leading in a clockwise direction. It's true that many people don't realise that there is a front, back, top and bottom to the British flag. Love the videos. Im in Portugal on my boat and hope to do the same trip as you guys. Cheers.

questions 😜 fixed camera in "crows nest", where did ya get that t shirt T with that lure on back, and isn't it worth the gloomy days to have sunset and sunrise's with fish a jumping a God sign of his love for the sea💚💜

Have to agree with many of the comments posted, love how you guys share on all aspects of life on a sailboat. And you guys know all too well anything fun or exciting will have its challenges, but hey in a few miles 😉 you come to that island where the water is crystal clear blue for 50-100 feet and when your touch that white sandy beach, you'll have to pinch yourself to make sure your not dreaming. And all those challenges just melt away! Sail on-sail safe! 👍👍 ⛵⛵⛵⛵

seems like daggerboards on a cat are crucial.

Just found this channel a few days ago and realised today there is no part 36 yet :-( , damn I caught up already! Anyway inspirational stuff, I am green with envy, may there be some favourable winds coming your way and look forward to next instalment

I love what you are doing, and I wish I could do it myself today - and I will do it someday - but, what is the point of raw fish and cooked rice in a pre-processed wrap? I mean, seriously, couldn't you just cook the fish and rice together and wrap it in a hand made tortilla (made from pre-processed flour)? HAHA I just don't get the point of raw fish if you have to cook the rice anyway.

Ryan, I realised that I left a question on here from an old google account. It was about the choice of a Cat or monohull. I've deleted the old account and its deleted the conversation! Anyway. Thanks again for answering. I do remember what you said so no need to repeat ;) and Fair winds to you all. Catch you out there sometime. Sooner rather than, later I hope.

Keep it up

i like how you guys do you filming and what you do on trips
i may not have the money to give you but i like what you do on board i had a 28. San June i had to sell . in californit and never got the boat in the water -
It looks like you had an easier first few days than we did out of PC but then you got hit with the downpours. You all looked a little tired. Sailing from PC to Salinas Ecuador had the most adverse winds and rain to date. We tacked at about the same place you did because the winds and swells got too strong and direct to motor. Can you guys carry that much extra fuel? How many jerry can gallons do you have compared to your tanks?

Do you have a cunningham on your main? Just wondering.. that along with outhaul, vang and traveler adjustments, as well as hauling like the bejessus on the jib sheet tension, could give you something like 10%+ better pointing angle with little more leeway.
But.. Im sure the Capt knows all about it :-) -
sorry to see the poopy weather, glad to see the new post, i get worried when you don't check in for a while, fair winds and safe travels

Loved the past three episodes! Thank you for sharing! Fair winds and calm seas...
Sailing to the Galapagos Islands - Chase the Story 35 With the anticipation of leaving for the HUGE Pacific Ocean crossing weighing on all of us, we set out for the magical Galapagos Islands. Alas, the Pacific doesn’t live up to it’s name and we have to fight our way south and nearly end up in Ecuador! But, just as our spirits are down, a pod of jumping dolphins comes to cheer us on!! After quite a struggle, Tasha and Liam catch a massive male Mahi Mahi and we devour sushi for days to celebrate. Even a biblical rain storm couldn’t get in the way, and the crew decide to take a promptu shower to make the most of the free water. We hope everyone enjoys this story; it's got a few ups and downs, but the crew grew as a team and got through it, and we were happy to knock off a few miles nearer to our goal - the magical Galapagos Islands. Happy sailing everyone!
