The camera used for nearly all the movie is a Sony ActionCam HDR-AS200V (http://www.sony.com/electronics/actioncam/hdr-as200v-body-kit) which has a built-in GPS tracker. The software is Sony's PlayMemories Home which is available at http://www.sony.net/pm/
This includes facilities for processing the GPS data from the camera and merging it with the movie.
The multi-screen effects in the titles of the movies were also done with PlayMemories Home.
We used Microsoft's Movie Maker to edit the movie and create the captions and titles.
The sequence showing us going through Potter Heigham bridge was filmed with a tiny camera: Cambox ISIS from a French company. This is designed for use with horse riding helmets: http://www.camboxisis.fr/shop/en/ It is so small you can velcro it to the brim of an ordinary hat leaving your hands free.
The Sony gives a better picture but when you have it attached to your head you can feel the weight and you need to be careful not to let any ropes get caught on it when the boom comes over...
Lord Paul - yes, I have seen your photos before, love the drone shots.. -
