Having just acquired my late brother's boat "Caravela", a 22 foot sailing cruiser, I watched this with tears in my eyes. There is a great similarity between my boat and the boat featured in this film. What a wonderful production and what a credit to the film makers and what an inspiring comment to all who sail or want to. My brother's spirit lives on. Thank you.

This is the best Lowestoft tourism vid I have seen. Lived here a while and always wondered what many of the features seen here were. Thank you so much! :)
This is a short film about small boat cruising on a Hunter Horizon 23 yacht. Watch 'Eos' sailing into Lowestoft Harbour on the East Coast of England from the South through the Stanford Channel in May 2013 with information, hints and tips to help guide you in. Do check an up-to-date pilot guide and charts and any relevant Notices To Mariners as the tides run strongly across the harbour entrance and can be tricky in certain conditions. Inside the Outer Harbour we have a 360° tour showing the harbour entrance, the South Pier, the North Pier, entrances to the Waveney & Hamilton Docks, the Trawl Dock, the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club marina and views of the harbour road bridge approach and the Lowestoft RNLI lifeboat station. The Harbour Bridge is lifted to allow us to pass into the Inner Harbour and Lake Lothing. We pass the conspicuous Plasmor's Grain Silo and various ships berthed alongside including the Atlantic Guardian, support vessels - A141 Torch & Kye Torrent, ex-army landing craft - L4000, ex Scottish fisheries protection vessel - Sulisker Leith, Lowestoft sailing smack - LT472 Excelsior, Yachting Monthly's Crash Test boat and Motor Torpedo Boat MTB 102. Includes views of former Brooke Marine shipyard, Haven Marina and Lowestoft Cruising Club and Petans Safety Training life rafts. You can see Carlton Railway Swing Bridge and Mutford Lock Road bridge opening for us so we can pass through Mutford Lock and into Oulton Broad to start our early summer cruise on the Norfolk Broads.
