wonderful plans you have. will enjoy the updates. your boat is beautiful and roomie

Just found your channel & immediately subscribed to follow along on your adventure & beautiful sailing vessel.
I grew up in Nanaimo. Spent my summers on Newcastle, Protection, Gabriola, & Salt Spring Islands. Now live in Victoria. Amazing cat. I have lusted after the Lagoon 400/440 for some time now. My sailing experience is exclusively monohulls however. I'm curious, you appear to have a tremendous amount of weight on board. I have heard from many people with experience on cats that you have to meticulously balance the weight in each hull as well as from port to starboard & front to aft. What say you?
An earlier comment you made about sailing plans are written in the sand at low tide is very true. While I listened to your ambitious plans, the old saying: Man plans, God laughs. Kept coming to mind. I wish you nothing but success & fair winds in this epic journey. Of course, it always helps to have a beautiful, sexy first mate along to share the adventure with. -
Love you plan. Not to different then mine. Hope to see you out there.

Great news

Learning neat stuff above the province I live in. Thank You

I've seen tons of videos of South Seas sailing but when you said Trenton, Ontario that piqued my interest. Can you take a big catamaran to all those inland places? Sure will be fun to see. That sort of a journey reminds me of the "Always turning left" channel.

Love your vids. :)
Woooow! That has to be the the longest planned route I've seen anyone plan for.
Good luck guys! -
Sounds like a great trip. I look forward to following you through. I also like the idea of the Great Loop cruise with the Trent Severin too. Your comment on where to go during the Canadian Ontario winter is realistic after the circumnavigation, but there is always somewhere to return to.

Loving your vids guys , we are currently looking at Lagoons , heading up to Langawi next month to look at a 50 .Oh and don t leave out the Kimberlies NT amazing place
-
thanks for outlining the upcoming trip, looks like a lot of fun, when you reach the hotter zones its worth looking at 2 smaller air-conditioning units on the boat for the honda 2000 genset. We are able to run 1 x 12,000 BTU off the Honda , so might be worth to have 1 in the main cabin, and then a 2nd 12,000 in the bedroom hull that you can alternate between day and night and then you can always run both if in the marina when shore power is available.

Go big or go home, that's a lot of videos hopefully, adventure rules, got turned on to your videos the day you were helping Curtis

Hi Scott . Once again a bloody good video. Can you tell me about your experience in sailing before you bought the lagoon. Cheers mate.

As we Americans celebrate our Independence Day today, I am hopeful that our foreign policy turns a bit more focused on the Homefront. We don't need a "53rd state" and I suspect we will not be randomly bombing anyone. Yet perhaps some will show gratitude for the safety America provides on the high seas, particularly as they navigate Somalia and the Red Sea.

Love your plan! Fair winds.
Looking forward to "our" adventure via the ether! -
Congratulations on getting " Across the Top " spot on. For we Australians refer to Darwin and that entire region using the same phrase! When you do arrive "Down Under" you will both fit right in! Cheers
-
Great agenda. Looking forward to following along the way. Would be interested in learning what some of your living expenses are as you head south. Also, keep us posted on what type of air conditioning you install. Mexico can be very hot.

Sounds like a dream trip!! if you need crew let me know!

This video is about Sailing Around the World Plans, Nanaimo and Newcastle Island, Ep 16 "Off the Starboard Hull", Lagoon 400 S2 catamaran At the end of May, we were 2 months away form our departure date to travel around the world, living in Nanaimo BC (unfriendly harbour authority staff) and shortly to move to French Creek Marina in Parksville (a great place with friendly, welcoming people in a mainly fishing marina!). We did an offshore trial into the Pacific Ocean for a few days - this we will cover soon. Stay tuned!
