Trying to get the starter motor off with a 6" crescent wrench? OMG

I'm very jealous. LOL... Thanks for the sharing.

Nice vid, it really shows how long sea travelling is like! Who was that guy with you? never seen him in your other videos

very nice smile...

What is the name of the first song? :D

That ocean blue. Love it. How are you uploading youtube videos? Large files over a satellite network must take forever.

i think the thing you need to cut down the wind is known as a dead cat in the recording world.

We like your videos but the audio is really bad. The music is super loud and voices are very low. The wind noise is also bad. You may want to research microphone equipment.

The way to take a deck shower: get wet with salt water, get lathered up, rinse with fresh water. As you have found, when the spigot in the sky stops, you are outta luck if you weren't prepared. You should rig a rain catchment for that purest of water. For getting seawater, never drag a bucket, always throw it forward and when the bucket is abeam begin hauling on the bucket lanyard. Toss the bucket so it begins to fill quickly, into the bow wave helps. Dragging a bucket is a good way to lose the bucket or break the handle. No, I have never lost a bucket but have seen others lose it.

Why'd ya brush off the birds? They'll leave soon enough.

what is the name of the first song ? :)

what type of boat is that

5th and final comment. The hatch that was closed and water dumped in, at budget marine and other stores there is a waterproof tape for sealing things like hatches and deck lights or even behind radar where it attaches to the fiberglass. This is very useful and I would highly recommend getting some to keep on the boat. Also, earlier in the series when replacing the windlass there was mention of swiss cheese on the deck(which we never did hear the rest of what happened). I recommend carrying a fiberglass patch kit and a kit of epoxy that will dry even when wet. put something under the holes in the deck and fill all old holes before creating new ones. Depending on the construction of your boat you may have a balsa core and it will be necessary to clean all rotten wood out before filling with epoxy resin. If the boat is solid fiberglass then check for delamination around the holes, if there is, review proper procedure for remedying this and then continue with project. As a cruiser you will both need to learn many diy skills as much of the time you will be nowhere near a port and many places will do shoddy work. Talk to other cruisers you meet. As questions. Most will be more than happy to help and will make new friends along the way.

Ok. 4th comment. lol. Product called mildewcide by mildew zone. Excellent product to keep mold off the boat. Another idea...exercise. I saw one mention of yoga. There is also pull up bars. manual walking machines that are about 1.5 feet long and 6 inches tall. As far as swimming is concerned, go to bare poles to slow speed or heavy reef, even heaving to will do the trick. Then attach a safety line to a life jacket that is designed for safety lines to be attached. There are plenty on the market which are very low profile or even inflatable ones. Even just a safety harness would work. Jump in and swim with the boat while wearing the harness or life jacket. If the boat is going slow enough and the line is long enough(not too long) then swimming should be relatively easy even in seas such as the ones in this video. If you are worried about tangling in the line then have someone paying it out as you need it or rig a spool that will give slight pressure always so no unnecessary slack is given.

Yes yes I know. Third comment while watching the video. In earlier videos there was mention of needing video editing software. Which I would guess to be very expensive. Just go on thepiratebay.se and get a free copy until such a time it can be purchased...

One issue I notice is there is no conclusion to many things. Example would be the squall coming and your spinnaker being up. I am sure many people were wondering what came of that yet there was no follow up. For those of us trying to follow your story it makes it frustrating only getting half the story. Hope this helps with future videos! Fair winds and following seas

Need to have the links within the video disappear after a short time so people do not have to manually close each one...

Good trip, thanks for sharing!
What is the name of the singer in the beginning of the video? -
These videos are great, they remind me of S/V Delos! But you should teach your friend how to use a spinning reel. :)
The day had finally come. It was time to cross the Pacific Ocean! It took us 20 days to sail 2,850 nautical miles, from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to the Marquesas but we did it! We completed the Pacific Puddle Jump! We had no idea what to expect and were half crazy by the time we arrived. Sleepless nights, cabin fever and engine failure led to a pretty challenging adventure. Here's our sailing journey crossing the big blue Pacific Ocean! Enjoy! Music: TAAVO "Pineapple" -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
