I think you set the pricing wrong She's listed for U.S.$ at $1'067,765.00 and you posted $767,716 U.S$ and here is the link http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/2014/Fountaine-Pajot-SABA-50-2685050/Annapolis/MD/United-States#.VApqLvldXoZ

This seems like a nice boat from Fountaine-Pajot. I see that BYA is still publishing uneducated information about the forward cockpit of the Leopards after 120 x L44, 65 x L48, 15 x L58 and 20 x L51PC delivered to date worldwide, mostly by water, quietly and wihout any issues....and Robertson and Caine producing more boats than Fountaine-Pajot. :-)

As for a heavier boat, the Lagoon has a higher sail to catch more wind so that compensates. Additionally, you may wish to know that a heavier sailboat will be more stable on big swells and waves. You don't want a boat that "races" down the backside of a swell because this is what causes passenger fatigue. A heavier boat that maintains it's speed, both going up and coming down a swell/wave, will be a much smoother ride. This is still a factor even in catamarans, which do not heel.
You may get to your destination a few hours earlier in a lighter weight boat, but, you will be much worse for the wear. I'm not a dealer and I don't own a about but I've been researching for the last ten years. -
What does "High Windage" mean.
1. Also, this is not a really fair comparison because Lagoon has those trademark vertical windows that don't allow sun to beat down on the interior and they also have 'wrap around' corner windows forward.
2. In the hulls there are huge rectangular one-way port-lights which you can see out of, but outsiders can't see into, that flood the rooms with light.
3. The beds are all situated so that when you have your head on your pillow, or sitting upright, you can see directly out to sea. That is a HUGE deal! It totally changes the interior of the boat to make it feel more like an apartment. When you sit in the saloon of a Lagoon you can see all the way out to the horizon with 360 degree views.
4. I also prefer guest cabins to be more spacious, again, more like apartment living rather than 'roughing it because we're on a boat'...
5. Plus, there is more seating not shown in the photo behind the helm.
6. The Lagoon has flush hatches with built-in drains, I can tell you now, I would break my little toe tripping over each and every single one of those protruding hatches on other boat decks. lol -
