Nice boat , but I would have not expected equipment failures in less than a year on a million dollar boat. Kinda calls into question the quality of the manufacturing processes and components used. Makes you wonder if it would be smarter to buy one a couple years old with the bugs worked out of it

More about Boat Business: http://www.atlantic-cruising.com/webinar-redirect.es A knowledgeable owner is interviewed shortly after delivering his boat up from the Virgin Islands to Annapolis. What he learned compared to large monohulls he sailed. How the Business Yacht Ownership worked out----and more.
He mentions a couple of minor equipment problems (Turns out this was with some of his add on equipment, not originally supplied with the boat).
Keep in mind that by the time he was talking with me, the boat had completed a Trans-Atlantic Delivery and two Annapolis/VI. 1500 mile trips within the span of a year. This is more miles than many owners experience in 5 years and more than most charter boats experience in their charter lifetime!
Update: Baard has now spent extensive time cruising the Chesapeake and Caribbean with his family and friends--months in fact, and reports hs is totally pleased with his boat. He is looking forward to retiring with the boat in a couple of years and converting her to personal use with plans to cruise even more extensively. "This is the perfect boat for my large extended family." He reports.
