Constant way too loud music makes this pretty much unwatchable for me

Kate, these compare to the EXTRA version of the Mr. Clean's and are MUCH cheaper.

I was going to suggest a Pelican case to keep your camera gear handy and out of the elements but it looks like you found a good cubby.
Have to say that I really enjoy the photographic quality of your videos - occasional shallow dof and what sounds like close attention to colour grading. Even if you can't do it, the grading, to every clip it adds a touch of velvety richness to the scene when you do apply it.
Best wishes in your new adventure and hope your old boat sells fast to free up necessary funds to make the upgrades you need on the cat. Fair winds. -
Bleach at 10% and 90% water helps a lot with cleaning and mildew killing

Big congrats for the new adventure. For me my past new used boat purchases were quite exciting. Didn't look like like someone was having such a good time. Maybe overwhelmed is the word? Hope you guys settle in quickly and get some big smiles on your faces. After all. You are takin off for the biggest adventure of your life. . . .arent you? Sorry this is my first vid of of your adventure.
I certainly couldnt decide how to divi up the camera/wine storage locker. Way too small for one hobby never mind 2 sharing.
Well big good luck and hope a big happy mood sets in. -
Where's the dogs

Just found your channel. Video is worth a like just for the comment on womens clothing :) Great to hear a Brit voice on one of these sailing channels also! My wife and I leave the UK on our mono next April for a very slow circumnavigation. sailingdestinationanywhere.com - cheers, Malc

If you want your outboard to last mix the oil in at the correct ratio...

I know nothing about seaweed 1160's. How long is your cat?
-
out of curiosity how much did you wind up paying for your catamaran? did they take off anything after the survey?
-
I would have washed all new stuff before stowing it away
-
Love the boat so much I wanted to compare on the web and saw your boat listed in the Bahamas. Is that an old add? Hope you didn't have problems with it. I know the videos can be a ways from real time. Keep it up guys.

where did you both grow up at? when did yall meet ? what did you do for a living?

Lol I was just curious. Yep what dont kill ya just makes ya stronger: )
In this episode we head back to Florida to take ownership of our new-to-us cat, Double-Wide! She’s a beautiful 2004 Seawind 1160 catamaran, built in Australia, and we’re her fourth owners. She’s in pretty good shape, but definitely isn’t without issues, as we discovered during our trip. http://www.sailingwithdogs.com/2016/12/02/we-officially-own-a-new-boat/ We start our time in Florida meeting up with Chuck, Double-Wide’s previous owner, and he helps us to get familiar with the boat, hoists the jib which had been packed away in storage, and talks us through a bunch of spare parts that had been collected over the years by him and the owner before him, Cameron. Then, it was off for a whirlwind shopping tour of Naples, FL with visits to West Marine (where I pondered the style of womens’ sailing clothing - really guys, we need some better options!), Bed Bath & Beyond, and Target. We spent the evening unpacking then had an early night. Next morning, we had some tasks to complete before we could leave, including inflating the “ancient pice of crap” dinghy we’d inherited with the boat - we were happy it seemed to still be in one piece even if it didn’t look especially pretty … Finally, we took off on our first sail on the new boat! More of that next time. Thanks for following along on our adventures at sea, and we promise that the dogs will eventually be joining us - just a few more months and we’ll be on the boat with our black labradors Porter and Lily in tow for a mammoth sailing adventure! We are happy to talk candidly about our plans, the boat buying/selling process, learning video, photography stuff, engine fixing stuff (getting a LOT of experience there haha), budget, etc. etc. I don't think there's much we wouldn't share so don't be shy! -Kate
