Sound is def the hardest thing with video, so it's not just you. :-)

If you're brand new to video editing I must say you're doing a fine job!

Just found your videos, very nice we keep our boat at Borden Light Marina Fall River.

Don't worry too much about videos/sound. It will come - people like to complain on youtube sometimes. :-) There are many other sailing channels that would probably be more than willing to share learned video knowledge - Sail Life, Catamaran Impi, etc., etc., etc. Some of them have Patreons and have a lot of $ put back into videos. Do your best, but don't let it spoil the reason you are doing it in the first place, if you follow. I do have one question though..... where are the dogs? :-)

Kate and Josh enjoyed the videos. I liked the f-stop settings on some of the shots.Something you don't see a lot of but is easily over done to. Keep up what you are doing there and you make great videos.
Your audio is not the worst for a sailing channel. I have stopped subscribing to channels with much worst than yours. Wind noise is the and the muffled sound of a waterproof housing is a killer for me.
Two great channels to watch for some inspiration are Sailing SV Delos and Sailing La Vagabonde.
Hope to see more content soon . As far as not having enough content you own a boat there is always enough content you just have to make the commitment to record everything the good and the bad and show it both that is why i watch enjoy watching Delos and Vagabonde. -
Great Video, hope all goes well with the next steps, just a quick tip for the main until you get the electric winch, if you have someone "Bump the main halyard" ( at the mast base you can directly reach the main halyard and pull directly by hand) and then the 2nd person tails the main halyard at the winch you are are then easily able to raise the main quickly to about 3/4 and then only use the winch for the last for meters, this is easily done as the mainsail is on a 2:1 pulley system, But the electric is also good for the times when sailing solo

You could also consider posting videos every week. This will give you more practice, help those with short memory to get to know you quicker and give me more to watch.
I really enjoy your story.
If you want to get more exposure for your channel, head over to sailing-channels(dot)com and list your channel. It is free and others will see it there. -
We're hopefully (slowly, bit-by-bit) improving on the audio. Added a mic this time, but we'll plan to find a quieter spot to talk next time. Hoping it's a touch better at least!

We find ourselves in Florida once again for the survey, haul out, and sea trial of the Seawind 1160 catamaran that we're in the process of buying (fingers crossed!) There were some issues (of course), including a problem with the engine that took two hours and a visit to West Marine to fix before we could leave the harbor.
