What does a fudge shop have to do with the Royal Yacht Britannia? Who allowed that awful cafe to be built ON TOP of the ship?? Madness!!

Good informative video but I was straining to hear the commentary over the loud music. A definite "like" just the same.. Would like to visit some time.Hazel.

Can we build another one now?

This disgusts me soldiers put there lives on the line for those royals and they sit in the lap of luxury while the real humans/Hero's get made to sleep in bunks! I am a republican. Viva la republic of great Britton!

Why didn't HM The Queen and Prince Phillip have a double bed?

An interesting subject, with some good images. However, the so-called 'music' was far too loud. Why the inane idea that the music should swell in volume, every time the voice was silent? The images were often rushed. On the whole, though this must have taken many hours to prepare, it could have been much better.

Thanks for the clarification. Bet it was an amazing experience - taking part in what must have felt important and historic?

Just to put you straight, the Royal Marine Quarters that you mention was actually known as the Royal Marine Barracks where the 7 Royal Marines ( 4 Royal orderlies, a butcher , plumber and carpenter) lived and was used by the Royal Marines Band when embarked for a tour. I know, because I was one of those Royal Marine Bandsmen.

Thanks so much, that was very interesting and enjoyable.

Excellent - thoroughly enjoyed your commentary and will definitely do this when next I am in this part of the world....

Docked in Leith near Edinburgh (scotland), the Royal Yacht Britannia was the ship the Queen and Royal Family used to tour the world from 1953 to 1997. In 44 years of service it did almost 1,000 trips and over 1 million miles. Loved by the Queen, she shed tears when it was decommissioned. This video tour shows you all around the ship and shares the history and some anecdotes about life on-board.
