I am so sorry for the crash its like stareing death in the face, You mentioned just before the crash that it had rained the night before and there was alot of material on the road and probably greasy this should have slowed you down alot.
-
What speed did you get to; You seem to speed alot.
-
Really enjoyed your video. Sorry about the accident at the end. I'm from Oregon, born and raised.
-
I will watch the rest of this later, but some of the best riding is on the Oregon/Wash/Idaho border. route 3 from enterprise, to antone WA. snake river.

Great video.
But why not California or Texas? -
Thank God she's okay.

The very fact it took ages for someone to come bye and help you with the bike tells me that road is not fit for motorcycles.Lack of traffic allows road grime to build up and that's why the front tire lost traction. If you want the twisties, do them where traffic blows the surface grime away.

some trips just go to hell in a handbag as this one did, I've had the same turn of events myself. I am curious what tire's she had on her multi? the rear looked like it hit ice the way it slipped out on her.

Why do Oregonian's not know their way around? Because most transplants that move here are geographically impaired and the natives that don't know their way around aren't comfortable outside of their urban surroundings and never go anywhere that doesn't have a mall, like most people in every other state. I grew up on the Oregon coast and have 4x4'd and rode my dirt bikes and street bikes around just about every nook and cranny in this state over the past 35 years, embracing what the outdoors has to offer in every facet. Expansive and geographically & geologically diverse. Bend and Ashland have become mecca's for yuppies and high prices. Excellent video, great camera set up too. Cheers, and I am glad that Kris was o.k. Unfortunately it eventually happens to all of us that ride. Good gear helped lessen my injuries. Safe travels.

P.S. I loved the video! I've been through Oregon inside and out since 2006. Ridden a lot of the same roads you were on. Beautiful place to ride!!

How long did it take for your wife to recover and get back on two wheels after the trip? I had a very similar accident happen to me back in 1999 on my ZX-7. I rode it home 90 miles after the wreck and parked it in my garage to work on it. Ended up selling it 3 months later and didn't ride again until 2001.

Just wondering. Whats the point in riding through such nice country when you are going that fast?
-
I was wondering what jacket you were wearing?

I'm happy to see that your girl was OK on that terrible spill. Yep I would say her mentioning tire slippage was the warning you mentioned. I guess you were one day late with the install of the new tires.
I am curious though on how the bike was on the shoulder of the road at the 21:55 mark in the video and then at the 22:15 mark it's in the ditch? What happened in between? -
I love the US version of a 'tight bend'. lol. :)

Canyonchasers take ten days to ride motorcycles through the best parts of Oregon, searching out the best roads. Only things don't quite go as planned. No chase vehicle, just two motorcycles, a Canon XA20, a couple of GoPro's and a tripod.
