It's very safe, Cubans know what is going to happen if there is a problem....people with nice homes are without question, card holding party members approved for the B and B work place. They are also most likely spying on the goings on while in house. You can probley get away with light small political talk, but heavy talk aimed at undermining Castro will get your rear in some hot water.

Rick Steves rules forever. Thank you for being in the world- earnestly.

He needs to talk to the Cuban exiles to get the real reality in Cuba

This is by far the best info I have gotten. My friend and I are going on a cruise and our itinerary has changed. We are going to Havana, Cuba. Excited and very nervous at the same time.

In this video Rick Steves attempt to deny status and worth to any religious view that is not European. African religious concepts are beyond his understanding, they are far out , vodoo....This is no more than Steve's vulgar Eurocentricism.
Steves slanders the Great Cuban Revolution which ushered in a national health care program and an education program that makes it possible for everyboby who wants to get an education to get one.
Steves "happy talk" lecture hides and distorts the accomplishments of the Cuban people under a brutal US embargo.
Steves travel around the world unable to factor in his cultural and racial biases. A bigot with a smile is still a bigot! -
I am not leaving a dime of my money to a communist country

AT LEAST IN CUBA THERE ARE NO HOMELESS PEOPLE - EVERYONE HAS A ROOF OVER THEIR HEAD AND ENOUGH TO EAT FOR LIFE WHETHER THEY WORK OR NOT AND VERY LOW CRIME RATE.
