Loving the final comment! Get to the RNLI! Good Job! Don't know why so many dislikes - ah, probably because they wanted to see you sink!....

As my combat wounded Pops would say "cheated death again"

What did you hit? A sub?

Not being a sailor I'm unfamiliar with the design of sailing vessels, but wouldn't it be possible to install a crash pump for just such a purpose? I routinely fish 100+ miles off shore on a 2001 '46 Ocean Convertible and after hearing horror stories of boats hitting submerged objects, promptly installed a set of crash pumps with plumbing to all machinery spaces. I would imagine that even a smaller engine such as those found on sailboats would pump faster than any electric pump. Besides the cost of the custom plumbing, the pumps themselves were inexpensive. With 2x 25,000 GPH pumps, if I rip a shaft log loose 120 miles off, besides the repair cost I'm a happy camper.

Coast guard a bunch of useless wankers leaving a submerged boat bobbing out there with other boats about. Sink it so everyone else is safe!!

What's the main boom fixing? You man the gooseneck?

Always been amazed at how the beautiful dolphins can slice through the water so effortlessly. Beautiful.

Whoa! What a tale! I'm glad you're all save and sound!

is this a Moody ketch?? I owned a 67 Moody Halberdier and the design is amazingly similar from your video

What kind of yacht was this? How much did it cost?
-
i will never do this, i have something with seeing no land and only water. just makes me scared i'm lost

Great skill and seamanship is what matters out there. It was a calm measured response to a difficult situation. Far too many unnecessary lifeboat call outs these days. Good job!

Wow your lucky to see dolphins

WOW WITH THE DOLPHINS

Follow us: https://www.facebook.com/ketch.kabru http://www.instagram.com/mybigsailingadventure Footage of a 600+ nautical mile trip from Inverkip, Scotland to Southampton. Only a few feet of the pulpit was visible above the sea. This happened in a force 8 gusting storm 10 with waves exceeding 35 feet. It just so happened that the sunken yacht was at the bottom of one wave while we were at the crest of another.
