How fast were you running? The 2780 looks like a sweet boat!

Hi, yes, I have been boating all my life and have owned several v hulls. I have to say that if you are looking for a safe, secure ride take a test ride in a Cat. The hull is very stable at rest, and as the years pile on definitely easier on the body. We are typically out in 2-3s, 3-4s and little competition for the hull, inlets and meeting head on boat wakes have not been a problem at all. There are times I shake my head in amazement either passing a slower boat, meeting a boat wake head on or crossing a wake. There is definite handling characteristics changes, not difficult to learn. You will love the gas usage, and immediate cruise speed. If you need more information, feel free to hit me up at grvraider@hotmail.com

Have you owned a mono hull prior to this boat? If so, does it truly run a lot smoother and more stable at rest vs a mono hull?

Our trip in from offshore 1/26/2014, 27 miles out from Port Everglades Inlet, Florida, was certainly a nice ride in.. The more I run the GB 2780 Isle Runner, the more I appreciate this boat. Just breaking in the motors for a total of 22 hours and 166 miles to date. In for 20 hour service soon.. One of those boats that you can't wait for the next time out..
