This is what it says, getting started with cruising. Is there something for more advanced folks who have some basic training and are ready to start more active cruising, like equipment, choosing the right yacht for your needs, basic fitting out, equipment etc? Thanks

The RYA has two different schemes for teaching beginners how to sail. The Cruising Scheme which this video is about and also the National Sailing Scheme where you learn the basics of how to be the SKIPPER, right from the start. Look out for keelboat levels 1 & 2. It covers the basics in 4 days. Keelboats are small manageable yachts, great for adults wanting to learn & practice the basic tacking and gybing skills. They are a hidden gem for adult beginners!
