Its funny how many people commented you need to take it to a shop this isn't the proper way too do it blah blah. You're missing the whole point of the video lol. Its to get it good enough to drive it to the alignment shop after doing suspension work.

I've watch 4 videos and this is by far the best and easiest way to do this alignment. ..all others get to far gone into measurements ...this made it a breeze .93 honda accord CB7 ...Thanks a Million don't need to take my money to the shop no more. Illinois. ..

so you saying that I don't have to Jake up the car to do the aliment, first time for me
-
Thank you, nice and easy for me to do myself out here in the middle of no-where! thanks

This is a great video and this works very well. I helped my dad do this method 40 years ago, worked then, works now. People quit being so serious over every little thing. When you grow up poor you learn different ways to do things that work. He tells you that it's temporary until you go get an alignment. Appreciate learning something new.

Wow!! Really?? First, you need to align wheels, not tires. Also, the toe distance should not be exactly the same as the heel distance of the front wheels. My toe-in is 0.06 in. (For my truck anyway. See vehicle-specific alignment specs). You certainly can't get that precise with this method. You MAY get it close enough to safely drive to the shop and have a REAL alignment done. Spend the $90+/- !!

nice

Awesome. Thank you

You forgot toe in buddy!

I tried this and my car blew up, smh.

my stupid self saw a man doing that one day, I said to myself, that motherfucker is crazy. what's kind of BS is he doing? now I realize what was going on. good video thkx

I've heard of people doing the string method but I had never seen it done. i did mine by eyeballing it and jacking it up/dropping it a few times. This method seems a bit quicker. Nice Mustang btw. Just had the power steering gear box replaced and can't wait to try this on my IROC.

Good video man. Put it in very simplified terms with clear instruction. Simple fact is my front suspension will be getting a lot of work over the coming months and paying for an alignment each time would become costly.
-
assuming the rear is straight
-
My vehicle pulls to the right, which tie rod needs to be adjusted the most? Right now the alignment is slightly toed out.
-
Thanks for your video, I'm going to try that.
-
ну а чё старый дедовский способ ))) в инструкции к москвичу это было написано
-
This only works if you do the roll out on the tires to find out the high spot of the wall of the tire on all 4 tires. And mark the high spot with a tire chalk and either put the high spot at the top or bottom when stringing the tires. This way is more accurate
-
no toe in?
-
I'm afraid that more variables come in with an independent rear suspension, my vette calls for 1/4" toe in on the rear tires, but it works great on solid axle cars.
