French Fishing Boat sunk in Dartmouth U.K Ten French fishermen were trapped on their trawlers after the boats started sinking while tied up in a harbour. The Sagitaire and the Saint Christophe were tied up in Town Quay, Dartmouth after seeking shelter from storms on Wednesday. Dart inshore lifeboat evacuated three of the crew from the Sagitaire over the stern and then returned for the next two. The fire service rescued the crew of the Saint Christophe by ladder. More during the day here: Dart Lifeboat were tasked to an incident on the south end of the quay in Dartmouth Harbour at 00:37hrs. 3 French fishing boats had taken shelter from the storm earlier in the day. 2 of the vessels had moored alongside the South Embankment. When the tide went out the vessels were listing and aground. The Fire Service helped five crew off one of the fishing vessels and Dart RNLI helped 5 crew off the second vessel.
