Also Rob that "metabunk" vid uses a ridiculous pic of the CN tower in Toronto when he compares it to the skyline.He is deliberately using that pic coz it's at a different angle and from much closer but still compares the two.He must know he's ex agerating his image so when someone has to use "tricks" to prove anything that alone proves what he's trying to prove can't be proven with truthful ways. :)

Do you not think what you call a made up theory to suit a globe has been tested using experiments.? The atmospheric lensing isn't just a theory because it can be demonstrated by experiments using air of different temperature. The fact that different weather conditions change the viewing distances would verify that.

My biggest problem with this lens theory is this. If THIS is INDEED what we are seeing then what was all the BS flat earthers were using to explain this phenomenon for years? So now all of a sudden it's the atmosphere is magnifying the buildings and lets just forget about all the made up reasons we used in the past. Kinda loses credibility from start to finish.
The truth is, if you try hard enough you certainly could "make up" an experiment to mimic the results you want. But it doesn't prove anything. Especially when you skirt around most of the other flat earth theory problems. -
Incredible work Rob!! I truly admire anyone who actually goes out and conducts the Scientific Experimentation on their own, as opposed to Blindly Accepting the Pseudoscience DOGMAS from so called "professionals" in their field. Listen up Globe Heads.. THIS is how you employ the Scientific Method of scrutiny and observation. Regurgitating what you read in school or saw on TV from a guy claiming to be an "Astrophysicist" is NOT Science. Standing by for all the ignorant comments and Ad Hominem from Bogus Ballers!!

If you have direct line of sight, it's beyond me how magnification can make the bottom of the entire city disappear.
None of this is backed up by any measurements or calculations. But obviously, that's not necessary. Judging by the comments, it makes the flatheads happy.
Experts in optics and weather have concluded that "the atmosphere really does act like a lens." What type of lens? A convex lens. What does a convex lens do? It magnifies. Is this the reason why the lower portion of ships and buildings can't be seen or is it do to the alleged curvature of the Earth?
