i luv FJ's.

Nice !!!! hhahaha :)

Sounds OK. I have a SpinTech muffler on my 4.0 Tacoma and it sounds as loud as this but more "throaty", almost like a small V8. Did you lose torque with straight pipes? By the way, what is your definition of "straight pipe"?....

@wolves1324 In canada we have to have cats on our cars, won't pass e-test every 3 years. BLAHH!
-
outer banks!! I live in NC!

So, did they remove the Cat converter? If so, did they have to reprogram the computer? I heard that most modern vehicles won't run without them (the sensor won't let you start the engine or something.)
-
thanks.its just a staight pipe run off the factory headers, with a ballistic chrome tip.
-
So do you have headers? If so what make? It does sound good. And I would like to see the setup under the FJ.
-
I took it to a place locally called the exhaust shop and had them replace my cat with stainless pipe, thats all i had done, i was looking at exhaust sytems and thought they were all to quiet and to exspensive, having what i had done only ran me about 150 bucks
-
Its straight pipes. that just means that it is one pipe from the headers to the tail pipe. with no mufflers. in highschool i had an s-10 blazer that we just cut the exhaust off of and zip-tied the back end of the pipes with the muffler to the frame and it sounded like a freakin muscle car.

dude can u do another video showing whats under the car.. cuz i wud like to do the same.. + i wud love to know if u threw the catalyst box or not and i think u changed the headers as well nice job brother
-
Can you do another video showing the pipes under the FJ and how you joined them? I'll like to do the same to mine. Thanks..Great sound!
-
no not to my knowledge, as a matter of fact it helped the gas mileage ans gave it a little more horsepower
