Amazing! Way to avoid that ice on the right side of the runway.

Please turn off the music thanks

Is it me or is he approaching low each time?

interesting the difference in pilot training today and 1964 when I soloed at 16 years old. A dutifully strapped knee board and check list strapped to the leg. An over reliance on written check llists, bells buzzers and gizmos. for small aircraft leads to, as demonstrated by the canopy error, that using your brain to double check yourself, developing an awareness of your aircraft seem to be a lost art. Also those long shallow approaches that seem to be the trend today. They are for me less safe than a steeper airspeed managed descent with flair, there is both safety in altitude and sufficient energy. You did a good job, not faulting you just observing the training regimen, generated by modern protocols and liability no doubt. My instructor drilled the check list into my head until I could repeat it verbally, and process the information juxtaposed to the information my senses were recording from the aircraft. oh well gone are the days.

I have the same issue on landing just instinctively wanting to drive down the left side of the runway. I guess it's because the left side is the fast lane and I want to avoid slower traffic. if I remind myself I hit centerline every time, but just casually flying I stay in the fast lane.

Very nice. I'd only say add a little right rudder when you flare in the landing because of the AOA.

Does thing have an air conditioner ?

That music sure sucks.

great job!

Love this video!!

i'm a guy from china,i had noticed that the canopy in pilot side is still open, because i can see the white light from outside,be careful,by the way i'm very familar with the airplane.hha

Ya did great! (and for the record jamming your cellphone mic in your headset was clever..heh)

Congrats on your solo. And thanks for the video. Curious if you have flown any other LSA's and how they compare to the SportCruiser. I am training in an Evektor but am eying SportCruiser as my purchase.

Good job! Now is when we REALLY begin to learn to fly! As an LSAer, check out the Sting LSA line sometime. They are real rockets, when pulled by the French-made DUC Swirl propeller (see recently posted performance video on my channel)

I,m just in the middle of my training and am looking at the sport cruiser when qualified, how do you rate it ?
-
Nice video. Thank you for posting it. Keep flying and enjoy it.

centerline, centerline, centerline my friend!!! NIce job after a very few hours. remember you can smile every once in a while...your flying !
-
you can do it man!
-
I'm still chicken after 67 hours? My CFI says I can do it, but my mind says yea right, and you are dead with one error that's on my PPL Cessna 172, but I'm sure going to an LSA will not help me.

First solo went fairly well. Messed up a little here and there. The canopy caught me off guard (as you will see), 'canopy down and locked' is in the runup checklist, and not in the before takeoff checklist. Lesson learned. Constructive feedback only please. Aircraft used: CZAW SportCruiser. Location: KFTY
