Thanks for pointing me to this video yesterday.... It's on my wanted list as the next bike after the 125, just need time to get the test done now and no more mishaps delaying it :)

Oh dear! I'm between Mod 1 & 2, and planning (within a few months) to trade in my CB600F Hornet which I bought to practice on; I like this modern sports cruiser style and I'd read some pretty positive reviews about this bike; but I'm having second thoughts now! I'm all for staying within my limits after passing the test, but I have a sinking feeling after this review that this is actually going to be less of a bike than the one I'm currently learning on, which would be a bit of a pisser.

...when I had my 1300 'X4' cruiser, I mostly used the back brake - as most big cruiser rider's tend to do due to the usually longer forks diving and adversely affecting the stability, while sportsbike riders mostly just grab the front brakes, and tourer type bike riders use both together and may even have those linked brakes to do it automatically....! I got shut of my cruiser as they aren't really comfortable for taller riders...a little chap on the next street to me got a Honda Valkyrie and he said the power was incredible, 'away from the lights'....!

Like ya say bud, not a bad looking bike but even I don't really like the idea of a single disc on the front, and yes ya don't move in the seat, myself I'd try the Vulcan 900 or the Yamaha XVS 950 I'll have to let you take lisa on the back of mine if she comes to Hunstanton with you, RSM8.

bike looked good to me.....but then.....any bike looks good to me

i like your vids so i thought fuck it i will subscribe to you.

According to one ad for the bike, the bars and pegs can be moved to fit the body type. I don't know if that would have made much of a difference. That said, I'm not sure pillion riding would be a good fit for that bike comfort wise over a long haul. RSMF Cheers

I am a shorty as well and I test rode the Vulcan S but finished up purchasing an Indian Scout maybe you might want to test ride one just to compare.

This would have to be the first review I've seen where the brakes were said to be crap. I admit to watching on an iPad screen, but it looks like the ABS sticker is on the front guard, and if you can't pull one of these up using that, well it'd be unfair to blame the bike! Haha But I think these are a great bike for an inner city/suburban cruiser. They weren't meant for two-up riding or coast to coast adventures. Plus, nice to have some modern tech stuffed in to a classic style. Best of both worlds!
New sub, so I'll say good job on the videos, too! -
"You don't need more power" think you've said something you might want to bear in mind there!!
Thing with the Deauville, and the similar power that developed, once you're loaded up, you need good planning and lots of clear space for overtakes. I do think while you don't need Z power, you perhaps should think about the next size up. -
I still could hear your British accent :P Not American enough :D
I like that cruiser, I even thought about getting one for my fiancée -
Calm Cruiser ;)

Well dip me in molasses and hog tie me to an ant hill. I think you just pissed off an entire continent ! It's not my cup of tea but the rider's opinion is secondary in this instance ;-)
-
a crusier with mid control;s would possibly be more comfortable for you...
-
Pretty typical of a cruiser seat that you are in a single position. Did you have her sit on the XSR that was there in the lot or something like a Bonneville T120, the flat 'standard' seats might be good for two-up depending on your sizes.
-
Pillion power? Is that the same as Puppy power ; )
-
I really want to try a cruiser. Jen loves the style of them. I'd want something a lot bigger than the Vulcan though.
-
thats so wrong for you....POWER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
The roads you take me on , are you seeing what Cruiser can handle :-)) Green laning, up mountings, through mud, through gravel.
I'll be glad when you've got you own, I think I've done enough testing for you. He He. Enjoyed Saturday
