I live on the coast in the Carolina's and have been through several hurricanes.......inside a large brick house. I can't imagine the sounds, winds, seas that y'all experienced. I am just glad you escaped with your lives.

This was Grenada? I'm just curious where you were anchored. Was in Prickly Bay?
-
how extensive were repairs?. i saw stanchion and pulpit damage.
-
Why such happy music??

Any nitwit knows that the best protection from storm-damage is to get as far as possible off the coast.

Cool share!! much love. however this video makes me think twice about buying a sailboat before getting a proper inspection.
-
set your anchor, powered to take pull off anchor, but in the end anchor drug and your on the windward shore. Did u try to make it to open sea?
-
I hope these folks had their little diesel fired up, to help face the wind, and to respond to the unexpected.

4.44 I hope that broken line on your windlass wasn't your anchor rhode??

-
Frightening! Glad you made it back onto the water! Well done!
-
I'm a rookie at sailing so I;m just asking a serious question for knowledge... in that situation would it not have been better to start the motor and head into the wind and get away from the shore?
-
No slack at all. Nicely done.
