WOW! You guys have stainless steel balls!
-
That was awsome.. Good work guys
-
fine heading out but always more of a worry cumming in
-
Honestly. Really no pucker factor here at all. Just use good seamanship. At one point he says , oh my God, oh my God. I did laugh just a little. His boat was headed for a already had been broken waves foam ball. It was the smoothest wave he went threw. That's how you learn the Sea.
-
Pucker factor 7 perhaps. I have been on worse seas in Lake Michigan for sure on a smaller boat.
-
what a pussy, this is a 42' boat....pfft the boat was went through it without ANY fuss.
-
tough to keep bow from slapping after the wave passes under the bow. a little backing down helps that!
-
I been in 10-12 foot seas and I'm only 11

these comments are great
I love the guys who are saying this is nothing. OK. where's your video? ...... -
I'm from MD, and the Oregon Inlet is no joke, and isn't to be taken for granted...I've been on quite a few charters there, and it will make you religious real quick. This vid looks like it was on a good day. Thanks.

That was a mild day in Bristol bay..
-
That is crazy watching a 42' boat get tossed like that, unreal!
-
WEAK AS PISS come to AUSTRALIA.and you guys would SHIT...........
-
If you haven't ever been out Oregon Inlet NC, I would wager that the ones claiming this isn't anything special would retract their statements if they got to experience it. Is there rougher water?...sure, but they don't call it the graveyard of the Atlantic and Caper Fear for nothing.
-
i did that on my jetski you chicken nugbiaaaaatch
-
what duschbags
-
but When it's 20 mph hour 45 degree winds that's gonna be fun
-
nice video but when o was a little kid it was the Stuart inlet in Florida bigger waves and a smaller boat keep up the good work
-
I've run that inlet. it can get ugly. one of the nice things one can do is run down to hatteras inlet by intercoastal. charters usually won't because of their experience and cost of fuel. the captain did a great job. bravo.

Matador Charters transiting Oregon Inlet, N.C. on an especially rough winter day with big breaking waves on board the 42' Ray Davis Charter boat "Matador". There's no turning back as huge seas show us why Oregon Inlet is a very dangerous place to boaters. Capt. Jake Hiles and Capt. Robert Mudgett are professionals. DONT TRY THIS AT HOME!
