What's the life of cutting discs?
-
Can you use something like that on 2" Steel Pipe for a roll cage or is exhaust pipe a lot softer?

Very useful tool and the price is actually pretty good too. Having once been a plumber (many, many years ago now) I know the value of these rotary disc cutters, I've used them for nearly 40 years :) In fact, I still have my original one going strong. Absolute godsend of a tool and this variation is also brilliant. Thank you for a nice, simple yet clear instruction of how to use it.

I always wondered how those worked. Good demonstration!

http://www.paddockspares.com/adjustable-exhaust-tailpipe-cutter.html It looks like a pair of mole grips with a chain. Yes it is and a very efficient tool for working accurately and quickly. Can be worked in a confined or restricted space where you cannot get a hack saw of angle grinder (or even a gas axe). Available from Paddock Land Rover Spares and Accessories, This tool will cut a very accurate straight cut and is very handy when you are making up exhaust systems for your project(s).
