Randy, just caught up on some of the videos. Some are blocked in the Bahamas so I'll have to watch when I get home. Good departure checklist. I would add two things. Close through hulls, and shut off LP gas bottle - check.

on dinghy storage i would also pull out drain plugs.

Thanks for sharing your cool videos. Its very inspirational and funny. I love your boat. I think the L48 is the best looking Cat and has the best floor plan. It would be the icing on a cake to have a flybridge like the L58.

Maybe you could make a video about your choice for a dinghy. Why did you pick that model etc. How much does it weigh with the motor and how well the power davit system handle it? I like the lift system but nobody really shows it being used. Thanks for sharing.

Soo much good stuff, but then all your videos are great! And so are you guys ;)

Have you seen Chase the Story yet? I'm sure you have but they are another couple with a cat as well.

Very useful info. These are the sort of logistics that wannabe cruisers want to know about. We don't care if others think it's boring ;) One suggestion if I may; Not so much an issue with this video, since it is mostly dialogue, but on your other videos it is very hard to hear your voice, since the audio levels between dialogue and music is very different. The i-phone mike is not directional enough to compensate for the length of the selfie-stick, what with wind noise and all. Easy fix would be to just lower the music level in editing, so it is balanced with the dialogue level. Thanks for the great vids!

Fortunate for you, I dont drink Coors.

great video randy. I'v learned a bunch watching this video. curious what you do when your out at sea and want to go to a island for the day and your on anchor. Do you worry about theft or possibly your boat anchor doesn't hold as planned, can you simply leave the boat without regard?

We are a catamaran cruising couple as well, you have more stuff aboard so your list is a bit longer but your list and mine seems to be about the same.
Good job on this Vid.
We will check out your other stuff tonight.

Found some great tips watching your video, looks like you may also be running a water maker? do you flush this, and shutoff all of the intake saltwater skin fittings ?

Great great info.
A good reference vid for every sailor that leaves he's boat for a period of time.
Thanks and keep sailing! -
I love checklists. They always work when you use them. Thanks for sharing.
