Hello Andrew,
My name is Ollie and I work for a UK TV company making a show for Channel 4. We love your footage of your canal boat holiday and are interested in using it. Could you drop me an e-mail on ollieduffin@endemolshine.net and I could give you some more information.
Many Thanks -
Thanks that was great.

Fantastic! Well done all, would love to do that trip myself.
-
I was not aware that narrowboats were allowed to use this route.
-
How many miles is between these two destinations
I probably think it might be 40 miles between those 2 destinations
Are you going to get on that boat you're on again? -
Wonderful filming thanks

Never knew you could go from Ellesmere Port to Liverpool on one of those boats.

...and there's the lovely wendy. Great trip.

wow:: I love the barge canal thing: their running ships: as trains: trains on water.

Great. You were lucky it was super calm. That river can get very rough and I would hate to be in a narrow boat doing a rough crossing. The trip through Brunswick, Coburg and Wapping docks was nice. Those docks were deemed too small in the 1960s so were prematurely closed down in 1971. The large Brunswick Dock stayed open until 1975 supplying the massive grain silo, which along with all the other dockside buildings is now demolished. Far too many of the docks were filled in. A Venice of northern Europe could have been made out of them.

Very entertaining, thank you.

On July 7th 2013, a group of 10 boats all with crew's of at least 2, completed one of the most wonderful cruises on the British canal/river system. Organised by canal veteran and IWA enthusiast Mike Carter. Mike has organised many of these trips in the past and has enormous experience, navigating along the commercial shipping lanes of The Manchester Ship Canal and across the sometimes treacherous tidal River Mersey. Without Mike's knowledge and skill, this trip would have been almost impossible for a single boat.
