Elite: Dangerous. Anaconda vs Imperial Cutter vs Federal Corvette. Side by side comparison

My review on the ships:

Cutter: Miner, trader or shield tank turret boat if you rly want it.
Vette: Gimballed combat ship.
Conda: Explorer, turret boat, or weaker version of the other 2 ships in their professions, generally hybrid.

I wouldn't use these ships for anything else, Conda has better turret dps than the cutter but weaker shields so I'll use conda over cutter in combat.

Sub and Like - REALLY good work right there.

There's a comparison missing here. T7s are SLOW on pitch, but OK on yaw. I would really like to know if it's the same for the Cutter.

Stop with the bullshit discussions. Both the Navy ships are underdogs compared to the jack of all trades civilian Anaconda that has similar stats with none of the disadvantages. On top of that they are expensive and take weeks/months to grind the rank for. It is absolutely disgusting.

I plan on having all 3 but I like my anaconda for exploration and trading. my personal fav.

I don't have one yet but I love the look of the Imperial Cutter. It has a Star Trek quality to it and I'm very much looking forward to getting one.

I know there is a point to the fact that the Cutter is a huge tank and better for wing fights anyway.
But I still feel its turning is still waaaaay to low.
I don't ask for a Corvette pitch - But at least give it some love.

Can you do a armor reinforcement comparison between conda, cutter & corvette, and how they compared against shieldless FAS in a fight?

I still don't understand how the cutters speed helps it in anyway during combat. People keep saying that its speed is it's advantage but have yet to see proof of this, other than running away. Yes it can zoom past fast, but at some point it has to turn around to make the next shot. By that time any opponent will have flown circles around the cutter tearing it a new one. It also drifts like a pig. If these are desirable in combat I really want to learn how that is done and how the cutter can pull of such combat.

It's so obvious that FD has fucked up with Imperial Cutter. Firstly, it shall be named Imperial Trader and not Cutter. The maneuverability of the cutter is -2 in the maneuverability index and not 2 (which is the number of conda and corvette). Cutter should have had in the results similar values concerning lateral and vertical, which is not the case.

To make things worse, I got some responds from some noob federal fanatics that cutter has the biggest cargo hull and boost speed, so that's fair. I don't want to imagine the number of noobs, FD fanboys etc that exist in the galaxy, the number is scary. I got some responds like, hey its 100 kgs heavier than the T-9 so it is working as intended. Sure noob it has, but it also have fucking A8 Thrusters....

But the worst thing is that FD hasn't admitted that there is obviously a bug concerning the cutter that needs to be fixed asap. Working as intended shit...
