Sue, thanks for the response, I got notice of it in my email but for some reason was not able to respond to it. So here I am again.
You've got lots of power On Board with that much battery. 'running out of battery sucks, uh?
I've put together a solar only canoe and have just now conceded I need a battery. It's a 100 amp hour Walmart that will feed a 30 lb trolling motor. I've got 780 watts of panels that will feed it. I started a Yahoo Group called LittleSolarBoats about a year ago and we have 25 members. You might find some info or pics there that interest you. I post there under the name dudevato. There's another member, Tommy that has a web site called Serenity Canoes that has some Real nice videos of his boat and travels.

pretty lake, 'nice looking boat.
I'd like to hear about it. Did you rig this up yourself? What's involved in transporting it? Got a trailer? Sure looks stable and I guess you can sleep on it, uh?
