Ah...haven't heard this song in awhile.
-
i saw them in ~2010. great show but no exaggeration, ian mcculloch chain smoked throughout the whole act. a habit like that will kill you.
-
1:51 wow queen you're so beautiful
-
majestic.
-
Saw these guys at this year's Shiiine on weekender, good to hear all the songs I grew up with played live,a much underated band
-
I was going to write "I can't believe I've never come across this video before," but now that I've watched, I totally understand why I've never seen it. The song (like others from Ocean Rain) was always so wonderfully evocative, almost mystical, for me, and this video....um...isn't. But I kinda like the clash of its goofiness, even so....
-
...they didn't have any bad songs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stab a sorry heart
With your favourite finger
Paint the whole world blue
And stop your tears from stinging
Hear the cavemen singing
Good news they're bringing
Seven seas
Swimming them so well
Glad to see
My face among them
Kissing the tortoise shell
A longing for
Some fresher feeling
Belonging
Or just forever kneeling
Where is the sense in stealing
Without the grace to be it
Seven seas
Swimming them so well
Glad to see
My face among them
Kissing the tortoise shell
Burning my bridges
And smashing my mirrors
Turning to see if you're cowardly
Burning the witches with mother religious
You'll strike the matches and shower me
In water games
Washing the rocks below
Taught and tamed
In time with tear flow
Seven seas
Swimming them so well
Glad to see
My face among them
Kissing the tortoise shell
Seven seas
Swimming them so well
Glad to see
My face among them
Kissing the tortoise
Seven seas
Swimming them so well
Glad to see
My face among them
Kissing the tortoise shell -

Wednesday,
November 9, 2016. Strange Days, folks. Guess what? Newspapers coming
in early today--Wednesday, November 9, 2016, the day after the November
8, 2016 election installation in Los Angeles's Skid Row area homeless
shelter at 545 S. San Pedro St. at about 5:40
a.m. Pacific Time Wednesday, November 9, 2016 announced that Hillary
Clinton was elected POTUS. Guess what else? Right across the street
practically from a Skid Row Los Angeles area Bank of America on Central
today Wednesday November 9, 2016 just before five a.m. Pacific Time just
a hop, skip and a jump from the 7th St. Greyhound Terminal in Los
Angeles, CA, there were also news papers that had been evidently put out
early in the front of a civil servants' job hubt--L.A. City bus
drivers' hub at Central and 6th St. in Los Angeles that proclaimed the
same thing--Hillary as POTUS. As I passed about seven L.A. City bus
drivers making their way to work, the early edition of the Wednesday
November 9, 2016 "Los Angeles Times"that read that Hillary Clinton had
been elected and that had the same big photograph of Hillary as having
been elected when somehow around ten years ago Obama took the stage yet
again were out--at least two or three were left. Who took the other
early editions? Bus drivers? It couldn't have been the case, could it,
that those papers had been sitting there for a decade. Could it? I am
serious. They put out for two dollars what appeared to be the exact
same edition of a Hillary Clinton election win in the "Los Angeles
Times"--which is supposed to be owned or controlled by a conservative
news chain--that they put out around a decade ago when somehow Obama
took the stage again. Do we need Jim Morrison of the Doors here? To
sing what? "L.A. Woman"? "Strange Days"? "Come on Baby Light My Fire"? -
This is the band that made alternative music my favorite. Loved these guys since 83.
-
yeah worn and torn, people just turned to shit after that, thanks guys and girls I just thought this disillusioned old prole who saw it that way, but there has been the headless chickens since. But they dont stick in your mind like these guys, they really had something, too bad for history now, maybe you tube will throw it up now again for the ignorant.

-
One of the best songs of the early 80s. Ian is the best rock/pop vocalist of all times. Even the vídeo being a joke, the song touches the deepest of the sensibility. A bliss. Bless it. (Antonio Bivar)
