a common mistake when cutting glas is to do several seperate cuts. Doing this will lessen the needed tension inside the glas, so try to avoid it!

We have a very different idea of what easy means. This is one of the most convoluted and time consuming methods I've seen yet :-\

Love this! It's so simple, yet effective. My only question is, where can you find those kind of blades? When I searched for "glass cutting diamond", I could only seem to find blades for saws or Exacto knife-type blades.

Very nice. You could easily mount the 2nd piece of wood so it would slide to the right size and be secure if you were either weak and would have difficulty holding the piece of wood or uncoordinated and could not rotate rotate the bottle with one hand and hold the would steady with the other.
