ah, pacific white-sided dolphins. I'm going to write my thesis on the subject of them...
-
the whole thing is fucking fake. Surely I am not the only one who can tell they are fake even the boat, its all animated
-
how many did you hit with your prop?
-
It's called wake. Not boat waves. That's a sick video

Aren't they amazing? Had a similar experience returning from a cruise in Alaska, heading back to Vancouver. Awesome video!

Well the cameraman clearly doesn't know how to zoom out with the camera, otherwise it's pretty cool.

I witnessed something similar in that area in early one morning in June 2013, during a cruise, looking out the window of a dining room on deck 14 of the ship. At first, I thought to myself, "Why are those fish leaping out of the water?" Then I realized I was seeing a pod of dolphins from the equivalent of a 10-storey building. They were "body-surfing" in the bow wave of the ship. It must be their way of amusing themselves, the equivalent of getting a free ride on a roller-coaster.

That is really Cool

I want one. If I get this opportunity, I will rifle one down and hang it above my bed. So pretty!

Wow. so very beautiful. Nice you were able to film this.

surely its not just me who can easily tell the dolphins are fake

These are pacific white sided dolphins. Not striped dolphins.

Shot last winter on the west coast of British Columbia Canada - in the Georgia straight north of Campbell River. These striped dolphins thought our zodiac would make a nice play ground! They looked like the had tons of fun and were close enough to touch. According to WIKI, a sighting like this is EXTREMELY rare as these mammals were hunted in the past and for decades had a fear of ships. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Striped_dolphin
