what did u use for the front wheels

That is a great build! Clean and purposeful, not cobbled together with crap. I appreciate you giving the cost of your build with good components. A lot of people assume you can build a nice trike for next to nothing then they are surprised when the project looks and runs like crap.

$800 - could you break that down a bit parts wise? Thanks for your time.

What a great trike! How do you rate the Warrior seat? Most recumbents have either a mesh seat or a contoured fiberglass one, but Atomic Zombie uses their 3-part design that looks a lot like the ones found out in the gym.

Heck of a build! Well done. I hope mine comes out half as good as yours.

That's a pretty clean build! I would suggest breaking down and spending the money on clipless pedals; if your foot slips off the pedal at high speed you can 'run over' your own leg!

Great build -- love the seat pattern. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Patrick

Hi Gerard. first off you need a 3 ring on the front . Gearing is what its all about on this bike ! You need a very great range of gears in the front because all your power is lcoming from your legs not your weight unlike a regular bike were your weight is on top of you. It would be great to have a 5 speed on the front and back infact that is a great idea. I will have to look into that. I also went with two pulleys inline and a piece of 3/4waterline worked good but I am looking into fabricating some pulleys. Top speed as is was 45 km ph. But make sure you brace the frame cause I never and it broke. Goo project for spring. Good luck !

Nice job like the colour. I am in the process of building one too.
Just was wondering what are they like going up hills?
And how fast are they compared to a standard bike?

2 months , $800.00 and 6 recycled bikes later. The trike works as smooth as silk. Thank you ATOMIC ZOMBIE ! look for the slide show of the build so you can get an idea of the forms and jigs you need.
