May some 1 keep me posted on how to make homemade boats with the latest updates And what schools or online classes is good for that ???

What was the final weight? How heavy are you (I'm 230)? Don't laugh but I was thinking about dropping a hole in the middle, between the pontoons, so that I could vertical jig in the winter if I don't get any ice to ice fish! With that in mind, how stable is it? I can't afford to flip it in the cold water. If you had to do it again would you stick to 4' wide or would you make it 5 feet (especially if you were going to sit on a chair and not the deck!)?

how much did the pvc piepes cost

Nice Job Ray!

The air volume can carry 212 Kg
As per low of safe , it is for 1 person (75 Kg) + 107 Kg for Construction, motor, loads, and others
if the length of pipe 12 feet it will be safe for 2 persons + 45 Kg for Construction, and the other loads
Also . You have a very big resistant in the front , I can feel it is reduce you speed 40% -
Great ideal , but it would have been better if it was video to see it actually in the water

A couple 2x6s for first and last crosspiece on the deck instead of 2x4s would enable the bottom side to be rounded out and give the PVC tubes a natural form to fit into and greatly lessen the strain on the straps over time.
Nice simple design though! -
¿ cual es las medidas del tubo ?

Is it possible to find 24 inches pvc pipes ,i need something bigger ,here there is where waves

Great project that is my plan also to make a pontoon vessel for river shore scouting. I will be designing floatation bows for my pontoons, plus I will be able to use them for storage and counter weight my boat motor. Your nice video keeping my enthusiasm up . Hope to have all my bushcraft operation set up by spring. Thanks for sharing. ROD From Old Bones Bushcraft.

Question: Where in the world do you find 12" PVC pipe ? Lol good quick setup !
-
I'm thinking about making one but what happens if it flips ? 😧
-
What is the capacity of the motor? How many HP
-
Volume being what it is, I'm wondering if 4 - 6" pvc pipes evenly spaced, would do the same as the 2-12'. 10 ft, pvc is standard in 6 " and is less expensive then the 12'-20ft. As far as that goes, now that you really have me thinking, I'm seeing a full scale, rails and all out of pvc, making a plumber's boat using lighter weight plywood with 2 and 3 pvc for supports, elbows and tee's for the railing. Thanks for the idea, look out lake here I come.

u never say how much it was to make this boat ?????& what i finding of pipes is $300dollers ???
My Homemade pontoon boat! this was the first boat ever made but definitely not the last. i prefer to call this my pontoon boat but many have referred to it as a raft...probably because i built this boat in Florida back in 2002. this boat was quick and easy to build and i was able to float it in one day! material were simple: 2 - 12" diameter PVC pipes - 10 foot long 4 - pipe caps 6 - 1/8" x 2" metal strapping 1 - 1/2" pressure treated plywood sheet 6 - 8' long pressure treated 2x4's and assorted stainless steel fasteners i dont remember exactly how much this boat cost me back in 2002 but i think it was less than $200 excluding the engine, which i picked up at a flea market for $50. i just had to rebuild the carburetor...that was a project. all in all this little boat was ALOT of fun...for very little cost. if you build one please remember to be safe!
