is this safe?

I'd be nearvous about the gears in the gear box stripping out, anyone ever had that happen?

I have several weedeaters but most of them with a straight shaft that might be able to handle a blade are made by stihl to name a few I have a FS70r, FS75, FS90, and FS130. I am looking at putting it on the fs70r and maybe a McCulloch BC327 if the kit is still available. The head looked almost identical to the ones on mine. Which blade do you think is going to be the safest? I have chaps and headgear as well as a good pair of heavy boots I wear also.

I got the brush attachment for my Troy built trimmer and it sucks. the blade had 4 tips instead of 3 but now I just use my machete.

Hi Dan, great video. Any idea if this hack is possible on a CORE based head? Troy-Bilt and Cub Cadet's cordless units use the CORE motor. Also used by Core Gasless obviously. Here's a look at the motor > http://lawngardenreviews.com/wp-content/gallery/core-cgt400/core-cgt400-cgtsd-gasless-trimmer-4.jpg

How can I fit a blade on my Ryobi weed whacker ??
3m 35sLength
The trimmer head of the weed whacker is made to come off in order to accommodate a brush and under growth blade. The brush cutter can cut up to 1 inch diameter saplings easily. it is a good thing too because we will be putting it to lots of heavy use on the undergrowth that has been growing up where we had a forest / wild land fire 5 or 6 years ago. This is a STHIL split shaft trimmer. I have been using it for 2 years. There is not much this tool cannot do.
