In this video, I made a simple, yet effective glass bottle cutter. All you need is: ✓A piece of wood (wooden chopping board?) ✓Plastic pipe ✓Glass cutter ✓A piece of steel (I used a piece from drawer runners) ✓Steel ruler ✓"L" shape bracket ✓Neodymium magnets ✓Furniture sliders or a piece of felt ✓Epoxy glue Make sure that the bracket/slider does not move on scoring the bottle. If it will move, you will fail to score a straight line. That's why I used strong magnets and a piece of steel under the ruler. If you get a lot of glass shavings from scoring the bottle, that means you are pressing the bottle too much or the cutter needs to be adjusted.
