Thanks for this. For the electronics people... if I wanted to mount an LED to the handle (to indicate that power is flowing), and assuming 5V, what resistor would I need for the LED. And would this affect the power/temperature of the cutting wire? Thanks.

Would a 5 volt dc adaptor work as well. So I can just plug it into the wall?

What's keeping the hoop screws from heating up and melting their way back out of the PVC? Especially if the string is stretched tight....?

it's even better if you have the string tension more tight. it'll help you to get more clean and accurate cut... :) best of luck Pal..
