we need more mechanical subjects clear videos
-
Great explanation thank you ekeeda

That means when socket is pulled ,and spigot is held stationary then bending failure takes place. what about that sir ??
-
sir.. here a thing is missed ... failure of spigot by bending
-
really sir.. grt job and vry beneficial for student..i would suggest to all my fds abt ur videos
-
I think you missed the step where we determine d3, that is the outer diameter of spigot collar. When the spigot collar is observed under crushing.

Thanx alot sir ....
-
Sir , your explanation is awesome. can you suggest me some link where I can find similar videos for mechanical vibrations. please sir really I want some good explanation like your videos

Very Good Sir Thanks

thanks it realy helped me
Cotter joint is used to connect two rods subjected to axial tensile or compressive loads. ... The cotter is tightly fitted in this slot. Spigot fits inside the socket and the cotter is passed through both the socket and the spigot. A cotter is a wedge shaped piece made of a steel plate. The sewer and irrigation (SI) pipes are manufactured using dolomitic aggregates and have a watertight Spigot and Socket or In-the-Wall joint. Spigot and Socket joint pipes are joined and sealed using either a rolling rubber or a sliding rubber ring respectively If you like our efforts, we request you to share our work with your friends & family BECAUSE YOUR LOVE ENCOURAGES US TO PRODUCE MORE AND MORE GOOD CONTENT TO SPREAD THE FREE QUALITY EDUCATION. not giving it can be found by crushing due to initial tighting of joint
