getting spoiled with the GPS you really need to memorize your local vor freqs. your passenger said to fly to the area of the vor. can't track a vor? just saying. you need to brush up on the rudimentary skills and not be so dependent on the GPS

Correct it has two Garmin 430's in it but the controller requested me to fly to the VOR it was just a vectoring thin to get me on downwind and base.
-
Can't tell for sure but don't you have two 430s? Why tuning to VORs when you have GPS?

This was pretty awesome flying Chris! I would love to learn more ATC to be able to fly into some class B airspace!

It's a 2003 Piper Archer III. The camera was a Drift HD720 and I use a separate digital voice recorder with a attached mic that I put in the ear cup of my headset and then just have to match up the audio and video in post production.. Thanks for watching :-)

The second Thursday of each month Cutter Aviation at PHX puts on a free lunch cookout on their patio. This is the flight over with ATC and Comms. In this video we had just taken off from DVT and was given the ok to make the Southbound turn toward PHX. DVT give us a frequency change and we grab ATIS real quick and then contact PHX approach. I was expecting 7R just like I took off from at DVT but they were using 25 ad 26 there so this was going to be different and exciting.
