actually the arms loadout on this thing is pretty pitiful for a ship of it's size. Even a 1960s soviet Osa class which weighs 2/3 as much carries bigger guns and long range missiles.

I wonder if u can add a steel float deck along 1 side that allows u to hve ridged boats secured to deck riding along yet n the water ready to go full throttle n under 2mins. A kind shark & sucker fish mode. Looks like 4 should fit well along side at the black line level. The mix of weapons can vary for each. The stairs can b a jungle gym style arch from outer edge of deck back to deck height. 1 ladder per boat. 1 rocket pod, 1 grenade launcher, 1 dual 50cals, & last mini gun.

On a twin MG mount why fire one of them? Wont the slewing to one side effect the accuracy of the burst?

A Corvette is a craft displacing greater than 600 tons all the way up to about 3000 tons, with much greater endurance and better facilities for the crew to operate for longer periods of time. Heavier weapons load out as well. It occupies the niche between patrol boat and frigate.

The U.S. Navy - Cyclone Class Patrol Boat may be small at approximately 175 feet, but with an armament which includes two Mk38 chain guns, two Mk19 automatic grenade launchers, twin .50 caliber machine guns, as well as six Stinger missiles... she packs a punch. With a crew of 30 sailors, the USS Firebolt (PC-10) is tasked with coastal patrol and interdiction surveillance in the Persian Gulf. On 24 April 2004, Firebolt's rigid-hulled inflatable boat attempted a boarding operation on a dhow (sailboat) that was approaching the Khawr Al Amaya Oil Terminal in Iraq. As the boarding team pulled alongside the dhow, it exploded in an apparent suicide bombing.
