What is the overall length of that riffle? I have the same case.
-
cut openings too small, left outlines exposed rather than flipping foam over, put scope on wrong side, and rife too long for the case ... other than that, great job.
-
Why would you want to have your scope at the BOTTOM of the case?
When you open the case the back is the bottom - unless you ALWAYS lay it down flat. Considering that I don't know anyone who lays it flat all the time.
When shipping the Pelican everyone at the airport knows you have a weapon in there and WILL bounce the hell out of the case which means that the scope is going to be out of whack or broken.
I will say that the Pelican 1750 is one top notch case. -
Are you cutting to the inner chalk line, or 1/4" in from the inner chalk line??

Todd just take a damp cloth and wipe it clean. Takes a little scrubbing but it will come out.
-
How did you remove the chalk out line? Great video and I appreciate your time.

9:01 - 9:34 still talking about the case? cause it sounds more like sex talk

Chris thanks for asking. I bought the case with the foam and cut the foam for my first rifle. I decided to order a second top piece so I could use it for a second rifle and that is what you see on my video. Since then I have ordered several pieces to have on hand to help others who have tried but do not wish to try it again themselves. If you wish to order additional pieces your best source is "The Pelican Store"

Is the foam you use in your case what came with it or did you get it from an outside source

Nicely done. Good information. Best "How To" video on the Pelican Gun Case
-
MrPlofstof not true. When you properly cut the foam into the Pelican 1750 the gun installs into the foam creating even pressure no matter what position your case is in. That is why this case can be transported in any position and be safe unlike cases where the gun sits on top of the foam and can slide into any position and most of those types of cases airlines do not accept.

Hi There... nice video, but i think you made a mistake. your rifle is upside down in the sutecase, every time you put your sutecase on the floor, the whole weight of the rifle is bumping on your scope, the best way is to do it other way round, the scope on the handsite where you carrieing with... sorry for the bad english, i am waiting for the reply... :) with best regards, Rene van Brugge, Holland

I'm glad you took time with your cutting to get it all neat and snug. Watched another video before and it was just too rough around the edges for me. Thanks for the video!
