getting 100w Cree cxb3590 3500k COB. timber grow lights
-
is the whole cutte.au webiste down? the links aren't working for me
-
Are you running the cxbs at 36 or 72v? Also can you link the driver for me?
-
Do you know when these kits will be available from cutter again?
-
Great video mate. Subbed. Just wondering how many 3590's you'd recommend for a 2'x3' space?
-
why not using the play field lighting technique? i mean, lighting from top side to top side with a 45° angle? instead of lighting from the top. it would eliminate most of the shadow zones and spread better. no?
-
are you going to be restocking anytime soon, says 0 stock on all your products
-
Are the two large cutter kits correct on the square footage?

"+Josh MedLogics hmmm, same price as a mars, not really, that is a cheap light putting out maybe 1.7 µmol/J (or PAR per watt). these cxb3590 are putting out 2.7 µmol/J of plant usable photons. so you gotta spend the bux to get the efficiency. but 4 or 5 cobs in your space mounted in a S config, or staggered configuration would work quite nicely."
Hi growmau5, at the first tanx for your videos, you re on busines with his kind of light but also help a lot diy grower...and thay s sound really generous from you!! Now, why did you raccomand an "s"configuration? Should not good a "cross" ike in this video? Finally i saw your test (pin Vs fim heatsink)...pin heatsin seem good, i know the datasheet and they are designed for low W light, less than 50w as you know but seem really good, 50 celsious is an unbelivelable performance! How do you think would be with a 1050mA cob VS an artic alpine cpu with fan? Many many thanx!! One love. -
Hey dude I first want to say thanks for all of your videos. I'm looking for a little bit of help I have a 3 by 3 & a half by 8 foot closet that I will be using it I'm hoping that you can help me construct a Cree LED light that will be best for my area. Is there anything that you can do?
-
Could use a smaller pod in center
-
cool video on lights bro

Hey growmau5 i know you barely have time to read all these comments, but if you notice this one, i've been wondering about you mentioning that CMH are 42% efficient at converting electricity into PAR light. I've been looking forever for more details about this, but i can't find anything online. Could you point me towards the right direction? Pretty please?

Hey...I'd like to mount the driver on the angle rather than remotely. I've got a 30" x 30" personal grow box I'm building and I was going to leave about an inch of space between the fixture and the walls of the box so 29" long. Do you think that would be possible off the top of your head? I like the 5 light fixture. What is the HID equivalent of this configuration? Which cobs would be best for veg and flower? Thanks!

I'm a total 100% newb and i've been seriously thinking about doing a grow now for about a year. I was going to go with a 400w hps in a 3x3 until i stumbled onto your channel. I knew diy led was a really good way to go, but never would have thought of attempting it myself without you walking me through every step on this channel. I really appreciate that, and i think that i am going to be happy that i went this way when i get my first power bill. I am trying really hard to stick to a budget. I was only going to drop $150 on the hps, i realize that now i have to stretch that a bit, but i would still like to keep the initial investment as low as possible. It seems like something that would be easy to upgrade once i had a few successful grows under my belt. One area that i think i may be able to trim off a few bucks is on the chip. Is there any generic or non cree brand chip that i could plug into this system with similar results? I am also interested in what kind of setup i would need to run in cxa2530 or cxa2540 to obtain similar results to this 200w 5 cxb3070 set up. My last concern is with color temp. The cree cobs seem to cost way more in 3500k than other color temps. What kind of dropoff in results might i see from using a 3000k or 4000k vs a 3500k?

Is there such a thing as a chart to compare higher current higher photons to lower current lower photons. And PAR values of each.
-
Would it be better to sacrifice some efficiency and use higher drive currents to increase photons. COBs are much cheaper now and you really do not need 50,000 hours at the cost of fewer photons.

mau5! please make me 2x4 flower unit buddy. spend hours watching ur channel man! \m/
