Thanks for the comment, I've been measuring the cutter milling arbors, I knew from running they were running out a little and had put it down to the damaged edges and poor grinding. What I have found is 0.0017" on diameter clearance cutter to shaft. looking at the cutter bores, they really showing signs of wear. I may set about and remachine the mounts and then either press fit a sleeve to bring them back to size or go ip a size on arbor from 28.5mm to 32mm. Be nice if I had a tool post grinder but I don't.

Nice setup with that vice base, looks quite rigid. Thinking about your cutter orientation,...if you set it flat (plus cutting angle) onto your table with the cutting edges on top and insert parallel to table movement, you shoud be able to grind it with a normal flat wheel. All you need is either a sine table or a wedge with the right angle. I would just index it on the cutting edge,, no need for a spindex
