This just happened to my Ford. Turns out my front left shock absorber spring had broken in 2 places

same issue with my 2013 chrysler 200. multiple visits before chrysler acknowledged the issue and have made attempt to fix it with no luck..
-
did you ever find out the noise. i have a 2011 chrysler 200 makes exact same noise!
-
Addendum.. Bearings/bushing, struts, and sway bar were all fine....

OMG! I have a 2009 Chrysler Sebring convert. with 89000 miles. It has been a good car, except developing this same exact bumping noise. I hesitate taking it to the Chrysler dealership because of expense. I have had it on the rack twice, but both times I was told that everything looked good. The mechanic did say it could be a steering column problem. What do I do now?????

Omgosh, I have a 2013 Chrysler 200 with 60,000 miles and it just started doing this same exact thing after driving it like 20+ miles!!! It's been driving me crazy cause I can't figure it out and I take long trips from NY to VA and I don't want the front end to just break on me while driving. I thought it was the breaks because the padding was all gone, but I had them replaced and it's still doing it. Help! Is it safe to drive? I'm reading so many things year of different stuff it could be like tirods, bushings, stearing gear? What is it, what is this problem? Does anyone know for sure?

get it fix bitch

I noticed in the comments section for this video that most of the complaints are from people whose cars are fairly new with very low mileage. Dodge clearly has very shady engineering and build quality practices when it comes to their vehicles. Transmission and suspension flaws seem to be a constant issue with this automaker and if the vehicle is not under warranty then it's a wrap. Dodge/Chrysler should have been buried years ago.

Same problem when engine is warmed-up. Finally able to duplicate clunking with tech in vehicle. It took him less than a minute to diagnose as short shaft needs replacing.

My 2013 Chrysler 200 Touring made the same noise as in this video. Dealership replaced strut mounts and bearings also the inner tie rods. The noise is gone! :)

Never buy a Chrysler

Same thing happened to my Chrysler 200 2013 at about 37,000 miles. The dealer said it's the tie rod ends and is replacing them. Hoping that resolves the problem.

I own a jeep liberty limited 4wd 2006, I've changed the left and right strut assemblies, left and right lower ball joints brakes all aroung with the rotors and the left and right stabilizer linkage. I have an annoying rattle that sound like tennis ball rattling around in a plastic container everytime I hit a bump. I am very frustrated, can anyone help me out. Thanks in advance.

Outer tie rod end.
Or sway bar end links.
Id check all ball joints.
Bushings can also be worn on control arms or sway bar -
I would ask Scotty Kilmer He has answers for all car questions .

Just took my car in today still under warranty and they replaced all 4 rods. Had the same exact sound and issues with brakes when backing up! Make sure you get it in before the warranty expires, they know its an issue but won't tell you outright. Needs to be a recall! It feels like tires are going to fall off seriously!

You will never see me own a chrysler, ford, dodge, and most likely not other american cars either. Only toyota or Subaru, i like subaru's more.

Stabilizer link or Anti sway bar bushing worn

Took my 2013 Chrysler 200 in today, my car has less than 39000 miles. Dealership said I need to replace the tie rod ends and rack and pinion is worn and has a lot of play. They said it wasn't covered under warranty, so I'm looking at over $500 In repairs.
Anybody out there that knows what the clunking noise is??? We are now 3 disappointed Chrysler fans looking for an answer and resolve to our clunking noise. The Clunking noise coming from the front (possibly front left) of our new Chrysler 200. When it makes that clunking noise you can feel the vibration on the steering wheel. My Chrysler dealer said they couldn't duplicate the noise. So, this video is to give them a look and listen at the problem. Right now it's summer time in Las Vegas, and the noise only seems to pop up after I have driven for 20+ minutes. But then it stays for hours, even if I park the vehicle for 30 minutes, When I start it again, the noise is still there. The car is a 2012 Chrysler 200 Touring, that drives well, but the clunking noise is ruining the Chrysler experience for us. All comments and of course hints for our Chrysler customer service rep are much appreciated. THANKS! One good tip received was: There is a tool you might be able to borrow or rent from an auto parts store that borrows them called the "Chassis Ear". It is a set of six microphones, a switch box, and headphones. You clip the microphones to suspect points, then drive around while listening with the headphones. You can move the microphones around to zero in on the source of the noise. Be aware that many mechanics have never seen or even heard of this tool. Suspension and alignment mechanics use it to find rattles, squeaks, and other noises. Every Chrysler dealership was issued this tool in the mid '90s but most never used it so it may be hard to find. The pattern of the clunks suggests it's not suspension-related. The first suspects would be something like an inner fender shield that's missing a fastener or a body panel that's loose and flexing. Poke on the front bumper cover. Try to turn each front wheel back and forth and feel if the inner tie rod end is clunking. You would feel that in the steering wheel too.
