Screw it, I release myself from further consideration of purchase of a production catamaran. I'm going back to custom builds. I knew in my gut that is where I should have confined my purchasing power. The production companies have done it to themselves. I just hadn't thought it was this bad. I've seen too many expensive yard bills from a variety of vessels arising from what have been entirely avoidable mistakes save for the inefficiencies, and dare I say, compounded design errors of the production builders. Oh, and don't even get me started on the unsatisfactory post'-sale so-called customer service. On a somewhat brighter note, I allow that this broker has made a wise choice to avoid Lagoon, even though such choice be marginal. The post-TPI Lagoon looks and sails like a WWII era German gun bunker from the Atlantic wall. So, um, props, sort of, to this YT channel. That xx thousand are 'out there' right now says nothing except xx thousands have been hood winked.

4:24 See, when I read such verbiage as, ' appeared clean and well executed' with respect to tabbed in bulkheads I not only discount but utterly dismiss whatever else the writer should say. It's rot, perhaps intended only for the unexpecting, inexperienced buyer. Readily apparent is this YT channel is favorably biased towards FP. Perhaps this is so because of a business deal with FP. No matter, here is a lack of objectivity built upon somewhat duplicitous 'reviews'. Tis a shame because there are droves of qualified buyers hungry for honest information.

I have had 3 FP catamarans in my service management, all privately owned......pieces of crap. Poorly built, leakages, cracks, electrical faults, etc etc. ALL 3 owners sold them on, mainly out of dissapointment with the quality of these FP's. (Not that Lagoons are much better built - I have no experience with Leopards),

More dislikes than likes. Says a lot...

what a load of crap..... why don't you put the disclaimer that you are a fountaine dealer..... take anything this has to say and throw it where it belongs.... in the garbage!!!!!! complete dishonesty....

This video is surely slanted toward the Fountaine Pajot catamarans and some of the comparisons are unfair. One comparison showed a mast in the middle of the salon of a lagoon. That mast shown is in the Lagoon 52 which is not listed in your report. I would rather ride rough seas in a "heavy" boat than a light one 'cause a lighter one will give a much rougher ride. Makes me wonder what else is wrong in this report.....

Boxy is beautiful!

What about the new "sport top" version of the Lagoons, cheaper than fountain Pajot!!

So with your dislike for High booms and Fly Bridge style catamarans, I guess you will not be selling to many Ipanema-58 "the new FLAGSHIP by FOUNTAINE PAJOT"
