Ricardo - Generally keep the helm locked in midship position and use the engines to manoeuvre the boat. Only when you have some speed through the water will the rudders work

when you are maneuvering the boat with the engines what is the position of the helm ? do you center the helm and let the engines do its work or do you help the engines by turning the helm to the same side the boat is turning?
Due to the tall side decks of a catamaran, if you have to moore bow first how do you unload the crew to the pontoon ? -
