I admit to being jealous of this way of living, on a boat such as that, and you can live your life and make a living with such a boat, the greatest way to escape right there.
-
cats are for the rich,i prefer a bit more personality to a boat, plus ive never been on a cat. it would feel weird
-
mono (-:/

Cat is a superior design in every way, but if you are buying a used one mono hulls are cheap.
-
the reason the cat lost was due to leeway? is that right?
-
I cant believe a cat cant beat a mono-hull. I have seen vids of cat cruisers doing 10+ and up to 15 knots but I suppose it depends on the boat design and crew handleing. I personally like the comfort factor of a cat, all that rocking and rolling would drive me nuts after awhile.

Pickle or penis? Fruit vs. meat.
-
Hands down Mono..
-
Delos has probably twice the amount of sail out.
-
wild one is an amazing SV, but it seems that there is no replacement for dagger boards on a cat when you are going upwind. Have you had any experience racing a similar sized Catana upwind? It is a real shame Gunboat filed for chapter 11, their fleet is smashing sailing records left and right these days.
-
Can you do a short video about sailor speak we're hearing? Point higher, reachy stuff.
-
Great video, would be great to see some more sailoffs vs cats, there are a lot of quicker cruising cats out there these days
-
That was awesome, Delos put it on that cat. I like the space on the back of Delos better. I guess I did not see much of the cat, but Delos is just a bad boat.

How can you not love the outro!

great information! Delos is such a beautiful boat, simply amazing under sail. Still, great information on catamarans. Thank you for sharing, you guys rock!

How does the Cat steer? Didn't get it.

Hello Brian, Brady, and the beautiful talented women of the SV Delos.
Not sure if you keep up on the Power Ball but it was just at a record 1.5 billion dollars.
If I had hit it I was dreaming on buying a Amel 64 and handing you more experienced guys and gals the helm for a year or 2 in trade to have me aboard from time to time to mentor me. I would of also fully sponsor your journeys for as long as you made these wonderful videos to share with the world!
For many of us your travels and videos like this are the only escape we get away from the struggles in life and the hustle and bustle we get ourselves stuck in.
A few years ago my career and life as I knew it came to a full stop. Diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease I spent 2 years in bed. I'm now back on my feet but not back to the man I once was. Besides my hard working wonderful wife not giving up on me It was videos from kind, free spirited, risk takers, and talented folks across this wonderful globe that kept me going! Videos like yours kept my mind off my uncertain future as well as gave me the inspiration to fight to live. So in return I've easily decided if I was to become a wealthy man I would use that wealth to help you and folks like you to help others like you've all helped me.
As a child and into my early teens in San Diego I sailed the bays with my older sister in a Hobie Cat. From sailing camp I fell in love with dinghies. I was blessed with Mission Bay as my backyard. my parents turned me loose and trusted my instincts to be ok. Not too many kids these days have that opportunity and I'd like to help change that. Suddenly we uprooted to follow a boom and cheaper living to Las Vegas and as young teen drastic change in life as you could imagine. Some years later I took up scuba diving at Lake Meade and eventually found myself again on a friends small keelboat time to time. To finish school I moved to Mesa AZ and my sailing days have been over since 1999. Just turning 40 and struggling to fight my affinity to the water as well as just getting back on my feet I took up watching videos to hold me over and as an escape from my own mind.
For now all I can do is buy you a beer!
Cheers from Kingman Arizona! -
