Yes, definitely. Doesn't matter what type of socks.............. These sort of programmes are absolute rubbish.

Stupid add. Real boat shoes are made from cow hide and you aren't supposed to wear socks. They won't smell if it's a quality shoe like sperry and sebego who use full cow hide.

But I don't want to look like a faggot wearing those gay socks

I feel like this is an ad not a tip video. Any liner/no show/loafer sock works.
http://www.noshowsocksformen.com . Many of us love wearing our boat shoes in summer but do you wear socks with them? Look at Gary, he loves his boat shoes but just does not know if he should wear socks. Not wearing socks with boat shoes is so uncomfortable. If he wears normal socks he will look stupid. If wears no socks his feet could sweat more than normal and cause his feet to swell and the swollen feet could give Gary blisters. Frequently wearing shoes with no socks can also cause lots of nasty fungal infections like athletes foot. Not wearing socks can also make Gary's lovely new boat shoes age quicker. The third option is to wear no show socks but don't buy the cheapest type you can find, get a good quality pair that fit well. Like these from Jays Barely There Socks. They are 75% cotton so keep Gary's feet cool and comfortable and stop his feet smelling so bad. Jays Barely There No Show Socks wash and dry well too. Now Gary always wears socks with his boat shoes but just Jays Barely There Socks. So does Claire she uses Jays Barely There with her boat shoes and Toms.
