Due to its flat bottom in the rear half of the hull, it's a little tough in a tight chop as it does pound. A deep vee will cut through the waves like a knife, the flat hull will slap the water. The trade off is fuel efficiency as flatter = more efficient , deeper vee needs more power to plane.

Taking out Ocean Avenue, a 25' - 2005 C-Dory SuperCruiser for some autopilot/sportpilot sea trials on video the summer of '14 out of John's Pass, Madeira Beach, Fl in the Gulf of Mexico. Most of the trials were in the 12/15 kph range with calm seas. Via YouTube Capture
