Very interesting .Having sailed a 32 foot Prout from Ireland to canary Islands I can say this looks to be interesting solution for deep water and still stay sorta safe . I did bare poles from Lisbon to canaries for three days with force 7 to 8 and sometimes 30 foot waves with some that landed in the copit. The center copits take more than ten minutes to drain with bucket and pumps single handed .The drain holes dont work when the floor is under water from tons of water in the copit .Then one time large breaking wave surfed at high speed for some few seconds with sudden viscous broach which bent 6mm metal rudder plate .The better for small cats is to keep to two separate hulls and to keep light as possible .Also if the boat has centerboards keep the center boards up in stormy conditions .Also keep mid latitudes with correct season to avoid real bad storms is smarter for small boats .However have a boat like this which cant sink is definitely a good move .Love the cedar wood system . However I think I prefer the strip method with foam and build two half hulls and glue those together .Foam method will also float but I think is faster method for building. I like the design any links for the design .The problem with sailing is the average wind is force 3 and large boats tend to be slow in these light winds so I prefer to not exceed 30 feet .Cost wise 24 feet is good for costs .Also like the lecturer says you can park it someplace often for this size cheap and come back few months later and sail again. In warm climates the need for large cabins is reduced. Also for anchorages or marina a tent can add useful living space. keep up the good work and do some sailing video of when you do the Brazil run
