With heavy brush, you would be much better off with the carbide tipped blades now available.  They look like circular saw blades but, the carbide tips are rated for much higher rpms.  With a good brush cutting saw, such as my Echo 410u, they will cut trees 6" in diameter down to the ground.  For saplings they will go them like this does through weeds if it weren't for the fallen saplings getting in your way.  For heavy grass and weeds, this will go through it a lot faster.

I´ve buyed one, the Airecut Triblade 300. It is fitted on a AlKo Benzin-Motorsense »BC 4125 II Comfort« with 1,2 HP. It´s amazing what the Airecut Triblade can do on this weedcutter. It works fast and it dasn´t go down in the RPM! Amazing good construction of the triblade. And its selfsharpening. Try it and fit the triblade on your weedcutter and see the results. That is a nice blade...Out here we never get standard ones...Just a lot of junk...I don't use my blade for too long now and throw them away after any stone hit....This is because I had a blade break and it hit my leg breaking it...So be real careful with the blades
